My book is, Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief.
The author is, Rick Riordan
I chose this book because I really like fantasy/fiction kind of books because I find them interesting to read.
This story takes place in Long Island Sound, North America in a mystical place called Camp Half Blood. Percy just goes to a regular old school called Yancy Academy. Sometimes it sucks to be percy I mean he is dyslexic and ADHD but later on in his journey he learns that those disabilities can be great gifts. So far he has been to 6 schools and has been kicked out of every one for one reason or another. One of my favorite sentences from the story is "Look I didn't mean to aim the cannon at the school bus and fire, it just happened." I feel sorry for Percy for as he is always getting chased by monsters and other demonic creatures.
Also now Percy Jackson is a film and so far this has been the only book released and the trailer for Percy Jackson And The Sea Of Monsters is out.
It took me about 7 hours to complete this book as it is fairly short.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is about 6-12 and who likes fantasy/fiction/mythological kind of books.
I am a Year 8 student at Tauranga Intermediate School in New Zealand. I am in Rm41 and my teacher is Mrs Mills.

Bad product or service
My first bad product was when me and my little brother went into McDonalds to get a cheese burger after we ordered it and sat down to eat it my little brother asked "is this a cheese burger?" I replied "it should be" "why?" He answered "because there is no cheese." I then looked inside the burger there were two buns one on top one on the bottom and a patty, that was it. Then we went back to get it fixed and then it was alright.

Homework G8 (Design your own)
Our clothing's circle of life starts off in the clothing factory but when it gets to us it changes. When my clothes get to small for me they go to my friend Jialan and when they get to small for him they come back to us in my little brother's (Liam) drawers. After liam grows out of those clothes they go to another friend called Izak and then they come back when he has outgrown them and we send them to either A. Oscar or B. Aron. When those clothes are finally to small for them they find their way to a second hand shop where other people can buy them and the clothing would have another life circle ahead of them. Which means we need more clothes for our selves but luckily there is a life circle ahead of us as well as below.
Homework E7 (Design your own)
I started playing Magic: The Gathering when I was 9 and I started playing tournaments at 12 (now.) The first card I ever got was Moli Maro The Sorcerer. I have been to nearly every draft in the year 2013. I have versed only adults and 1 kid. I have beaten the kid with ease and I have beaten most of the adults I verse.
To play Magic you need a deck of 60+ cards 1/3 of them should be lands 1/3 creatures and 1/3 enchantments/auras. The lands are the cards that allow you to play other cards. You get 7 cards in your hand to start off with unless you mulligan. If you mulligan you go down to 6 cards then 5 if you mulligan again... The lands come in 5 different colours, green, white, blue, red and black. There are costs for each creature, enchantment and aura cards. Some cards e.g. Molimo Maro Sorcerer it cost 4 of any land and 3 must be green. It also has an ability that it's power and toughness is equal to how many lands you control. If you play Molimo Maro Sorcerer as soon as you can he will be a 7/7. The power and toughness, Power is how much damage that creature can do and toughness is how much hit points it can sustain without dieing e.g. if I have a 2/4 and a 4/1 decided to stop my creature from damaging my opponent it would be called blocking, so if the 4/1 blocked my 2/4 they would both die, because the 4/1 has 1 hit point and 4 damage, and my 2/4 has 4 hit points and 2 damage and both creatures attack at the same time, therefore 2 damage to 1 hit point kills that creature and 4 damage to 4 hit points kills my creature. To play creatures like Molimo Maro Sorcerer if you have the required land cards to play him you will need to tap your lands, to tap lands you need to turn them on there side to signify that they are tapped. Enchantments can be placed on your/there creatures e.g. Blanchwood Armor gives that creature +1/+1 for each green you control. The 5 different lands are mountain for red, forest for green, swamp for black, plains for white and islands for blue. There are also two types of cards, foily cards and normal cards. The foily cards are shiny as shown below.

Homework P5
My squash coaching lessons last for 1 hour from 11-12am. I started in Term 1 and have been doing it ever since. I would also like to do it throughout year. It cost $50 a term and $200 a year. The coach's name is Graeme Randolph and he is very skilled at squash. I play in the squash court at the back of the gym. I play squash because it is fun and it is similar to tennis and I quite like tennis as well.
To play squash you will need a racquet and a squash ball. Squash balls are quite small and are not very bouncy unless hit hard. If the ball is hit hard enough and correctly the ball can go over 100km. Also with the squash balls there are two types of balls the yellow dot and the blue dot. The yellow dot is for the warmer days e.g. summer and spring and the blue dot is for the cooler days e.g. winter and autumn and the red is for extremely hot days. The reason for the two temperature balls is so that the bounce better in that season (blue cold, yellow warm, red hot.) The racquet is similar to the squash racquet but the head is more circular and there is not always a hole in the middle of a squash racquet. You hold the squash racquet differently as well, you hold it with your fist around it but make a v shape with the gap between your thumb and index finger on the side of the racquet. You should get a titanium framed racquet rather than an aluminum frame or you will be riskung your racquet bending. "In 2003 Forbes rated squash number 1 healthiest sport" I found this information on Wikipedia.

For my Science Fair I have tested to see which games take the most power from your laptop. I have chosen 4 games to test: League of Legends, Minecraft, Tekkit and Lord of The Rings Online. I record the information by charging my laptop to 100% and then letting it run for 1 hour without doing anything. I then note down the percentage lost and test a game. I was correct.I do the exact same steps except I play the game for 1 hour then the next game until I have played them all. Then I did the write up and got it printed then stuck on my board.

I started my weekend on Saturday like most people however I did my science fair project (playing games) I did that for approxamtly 10 hours. Then I slept for the rest of the day until dinner then after I finished I did another 1 hour of *science fair,* then I went to bed and didn't wake up until 1:30pm the next day. That day I did exactly the same as the day before except I had to clean up. My science fair game takes 1 hour every time I play it the game is called League of Legends. After I finished a couple of games I decided I was hungry and I went into the kitchen to get something to eat and I realized that someone was cooking dinner

1.) My idiom is *a piece of cake.*
2.) What it means is that when you do something that is really easy then complete it people say a piece of cake. Also when someone is doing another thing that someone can't do easily and when the second person congratulates them they say it was a piece of cake.
3.)The saying came from when people are cutting a cake it is easily done just like when someone says a piece of cake after they have done something.
4.) At home we don't have any main idioms but we use different ones all the time although I can't remember any.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? The problem is still not completely answered but most people in the world think that the chicken came first because the most ancient animal they can find is the plankton and they came from natural resources connecting together. Then they evolved into land animals and more sea animals. The animals just kept on evolving until they got to the chicken. The first people on the planet were confused about which came first the chicken or the egg, and that was how the dilema was introduced.

Why do most animals contract in winter and expand in summer?
Answer:
Most animals contract in the winter so they can stay warmer like a cat. Cat's can be very long and very short, but the shortest that they get is in the winter. The longest they get is normally is in the summer when it is warmer. The reason they grow longer in the summer is that when the sun is shining on the animal the animal is spread out so much that it won't need all the heat, and they shrink shorter because the body heat will keep them warm enough to survive another winter.
