delayed gratification is the ability to wait in order to obtain something that one wants. E.g. "can I please play minecraft" "not until your homework is finished" (Delayed Gratification.)
The stanford marshmallow experiment is some studies on delayed gratification. The experiment was led by a psychologist named, Walter Mischel. He then became a professor at Stanford University. In the studies of delayed gratification a child was offered a choice between ONE small reward or TWO small rewards, if they chose two they had to wait an extra 15 or so minutes. The rewards were usually marshmallows. The testings showed that people that could wait longer for the better outcomes had better life outcomes this was measured by SAT scores, educational attainment, body mass index (BMI) and other life measures.

Nice, you told me what delayed gratification is and who did the stanford experiment. Maybe yo could have showed the results of what happened?
